NetHawk introduces a new product for troubleshooting the latest
evolution of live 3G networks
NetHawk, a pioneer in 3G testing since their release of the
world's first 3G protocol analyser in 2001, is now launching a new release of
their market-leading product.
With all its new features, like real-time
multi-interface Call Trace, detailed decoding capability, dynamic Iub and
multiple-call Iub f8 deciphering, the NetHawk 3G Analyser significantly enhances
monitoring and troubleshooting in operational 3G networks. The requirements of
the latest evolution of 3G networks are also taken into account by supporting
3GPP Release5, including HSDPA, TD-SCDMA and Multiplexing for ATM (IMA)
technologies.
The new NetHawk 3G Analyser was particularly designed to
improve the effectiveness of troubleshooting in live 3G networks and their
essential services. To verify correct operation of these services, NetHawk is
introducing new features such as H.324M protocol monitoring for CS video calls,
auto-configuration of monitored interfaces including Iub parameters, and
real-time, correlated multi-interface call tracing as well as real-time
deciphering of encrypted data in a live network. Usual problems like failed
calls or different types of handovers can easily be detected and analysed.
Moreover, the NetHawk 3G Analyser can be used to log the most important
parameters which tell of air interface quality like, for example, uplink block
error rate (BLER) and bit error rate (BER).
All these features combined with real-time measuring and
verification of the most important QoS parameters in packet-switched data flow -
delay, jitter and throughput - make for an easy and effective troubleshooting
tool for network operators to use in their efforts to provide their subscribers
with high quality, functional 3G services.
